“We Want America Back”
By: Ryan Solis
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
II Chronicles 7:14 (1611 KJV)
It is obvious that our country is headed down the wrong path. Prayer and the Bible have been taken out of the public schools. The Ten Commandments are coming down off walls where they used to hang. The U.S. Flag is being burned. The homosexuals are getting more rights than they’ve ever had before. These are just a few of the many things that are happening in America today. And it will continue to happen until us, as Christians will take a stand and say, “Hey, we don’t want that going on in our country!” This country was founded on God’s Word. Why are we going away from that? Proverbs 22:28 says, “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.” Our country was founded on God’s Word for a reason. That reason is because our founding fathers realized that no nation could succeed without God as the center. I believe that if our founding fathers were to come back from the dead, they would leave quicker than they got here because of the shape of our country.
Our nation is slipping away fast and we, as Christians, are just sitting back and watching it happen. We need to stand up and let this country know that we want America back. It has gone far enough. The “world” has had their time. Now its time for Christians to take America back. Christians, now is the time to take a stand. The return of our Lord is near. Let’s get busy before it is too late. Don’t wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow might be too late! Maybe you are sitting here reading this, and you have never trusted Christ as your personal Saviour. If you haven’t, you can get saved. First, you must realize that you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Next, you must realize that there is a price to pay for sin. Romans 6:23a says, “For the wages of sin is death,...” We are all going to die because as Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Just because a person will die, doesn’t mean they have to go to hell. Romans 6:23b says, “… but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” God made a way to go to Heaven when He sent His Son to die on the cross. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” You might say, “Well, I’m too bad of a sinner to get saved.” Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” “Whosoever” means you. If the Holy Spirit is dealing with you about getting saved, the only thing you have to do is call on Him and He will save you. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9) If you’re not saved, I challenge you to get saved before it is eternally too late. Don’t put it off until tomorrow because tomorrow might be too late.
